Last Mango in Paris

This was one of those rare days in which every member of the family had one dream realized.  I had the pleasure of choosing Les Deux Magots for breakfast. The cafe was a haunt for Hemingway, Oscar Wilde and Picasso, among others.

David went nuts for the Musee d’Orsay, declaring Toulouse Latrec his new favorite painter. He also tried to recreate Degas’ dancer sculptures with his own form.

And Allan, who flew here for a mere 48 hours, took us to his favorite restaurant in the whole world – Le Cherech Midi. Allan ate here while he was filming Pret a Porte in Paris some 22 years ago. I’ve been hearing about it for at least 18. Let us say that it was worth the wait.

We are now relaxing in our new hotel room near the Eifel Tower, and getting even more excited about our return to Vemont and our home tomorrow.

And now we can actually say, “We’ll always have Paris.”

Love,

Nancy
