Surprised by Joy

Dear Readers,

I’ve discovered the best antidote to grief.

A wedding.

Last night two of my best friends, Jill and Mattison, got married at the Lake House in Grand Isle Vermont. Their ceremony was as sweet and tender as they are. The dinner was as elegant and warm as they are. And the dancing was as athletic and energetic as they are.

At one point during the big sweaty dance fest, I realized I was happy. I was beaming. I was laughing. I was being silly. (See bottom photo. Those are two of the wedding cupcakes.)

Thank you Jill and Mattison for reminding me that love rules.

Love,

Ole Gal
