Dear Nancy,
I imagine no words can ease the sorrow you and your brother must be feeling at having lost such a beloved father. Just know that you loved and honored him well…and that the memories from your life together will be a comfort in the days and months to come. As I have been going through Mom’s papers and photos, I’m struck by how much fun and sheer joy she had in her lifetime. (I had forgotten that!) Surely you’ll discover the same with your dad.
